Celebrated TV host, Jeff Koinange, and loud mouthed political analyst, Tony Gachoka, are in deep trouble after the high court lifted orders that had stopped their trial on charges of defamation.

Justice Weldon Korir has ordered the two to appear in court and answer to defamation charges in the case that had been filed by renowned city businessmen, Jim Wanjigi and his brother, Sani Wanjigi.

Wanjigi had sued Koinange and Gachoka for linking his firm, Kwach Group of Companies, to the Anglo-Leasing scandal that saw taxpayers lose more than Ksh 50 billion through irregular contracts awarded by the Government.

They two linked Wanjigi’s company to the Anglo-Leasing Scandal through the weekly Jeff Koinange Live Show (JKL) aired on KTN.

Wanjigi and his brother are now demanding for Ksh 60 Million in damages after Jeff and Gachoka tainted the image of their company.
