President Uhuru Kenyata
Central Kenya youths have welcomed the destruction of illicit brew dens going on in the region after President Uhuru ordered the exercise to be carried out by the police, NYS youths and elected leaders without fear or favour.

The youths have thanked the President for saving their lives, pledging to engage in more constructive businesses. Many are already applying for youth fund and Uwezo fund to re-start their businesses again.

From Kiambu, Murang’a, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Embu, the last three days have been bad days for sellers of ‘drinks of death’, as thousands of gallons were emptied into streams and bare lands.

Mt. Kenya leaders are racing against the Tuesday deadline, when they congregate again at State House to give progress reports on what each has done in their respective constituencies.
