The Kikuyu Council of elders has warned US President Barrack Obama against bringing the gay and lesbian debate during his visit to Kenya this month.

Addressing a Press Conference in Nairobi on Wednesday, the Council’s chairman, Samuel Thuita, said the elders from the Kikuyu community will pelt Obama will rotten eggs if he tries to push for homosexuality in Kenya.

Thuita said gayism is unacceptable in African customs and norms.

The chairman said Kenya is a Christian nation and the Bible does not allow same-sex unions.

“The founding father of the nation, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, was pelted with rotten eggs in Britain for only agitating for our independence. I will mobilize and lead every member of the council, including women and the youth, and Kenyans in general to throw rotten eggs at Obama if he dares introduce the gay and lesbian debate,” Thuita said.

He concluded by asking Kenyans and Africans to uphold their customs and not fall prey to neocolonialism being introduced through the back door.
