Although Villa Rosa Kempinski’s management has declined to confirm or deny whether President Barrack Obama stayed their facility, sources indicated that Obama slept at the hotel’s Presidential Suit during the entire period he was in the country.
A reliable source says that Obama had four meals at the hotel including dinner with his family. His chef worked with local chefs to prepare Obama some Ugali, Terere and Fish sourced straight from Lake Victoria.
The room Obama spent cost the US Government a whooping Sh. 1.5 million per night;
“The rates at the presidential suite vary depending on whether you are billing an individual, a corporate or the government. But its roughly 15,000 (Sh1.5 million) dollars a night,”
