The world’s most powerful man will be in Kenya for days contrary to speculations that he will only be visiting his ancestral land for only 8 hours.
Sorry Nairobians! Prepare for a historic snarl-up because Potus will be in Kenya for a more than 8 hours. Word of advice; use trains, they may be archaic but they will get you home faster!
Diplomatic sources have revealed fraction details about President Obama’s visit to Kenya. Air Force One will touch down at JKIA on 24th of this month.
The US leader will then be ferried to undisclosed location to spend the night. The following day, the leader of the free world will make his way to KICC for Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
Later in the day, Obama is expected to lay flowers at the site of the deadly 1998 bombing of the US Embassy, which is right beside Co-Operative Bank House on Haile Selassie Avenue/Moi Avenue round. Obama will then proceed to meet the Uhuru and other opposition leaders.
Obama is expected to leave Kenya on Sunday the 26th at around 7 PM. His whereabouts between Saturday evening and Sunday night when he will depart is still not in the public domain. Perhaps he shall visit his father’s home in Kogello, Siaya County which is just next to my home!
In short, Obama will be in Kenya for three longs days before he makes his way to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
