Speaking in Kariobangi Grounds on Saturday as he drummed support for the Okoa Kenya Initiative, Kalonzo, who is also the Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, said he will not ditch CORD even if former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga or Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, win the CORD coalition ticket.
“We are a united team and we are ready to support whoever who will win the ticket,” Kalonzo told CORD coalition supporters.
Kalonzo also said the Opposition is not ready to go to the next elections with the current Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) as constituted.
“We, as the opposition, are not ready to go to the poll with the same IEBC. We are going to boycott the poll if the commission is not disbanded,” Kalonzo said.
He said the Okoa Kenya Referendum Bill gives clear guidelines of an electoral body which will guarantee sanctity of the vote.
