Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV yesterday, Ruto, who is also the chair of the Governors’ Council, said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, were planning to rig the 2017 General Election again.
This is after Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, who was also on the panel, alleged that Jubilee already have a sealed bloc of votes and was just waiting to deliver them in 2017 the same way they did in 2013.
Murkomen told the Bomet Governor that neither the President nor his Deputy will waste time persuading him to join JAP because they already have the numbers and are just waiting to be declared winners in 2017 again.
However, the Bomet Governor read mischief in Murkomen’s assertions and warned the former PM to be on the high alert because Uhuru/ Ruto may just rig their way to State House again.
“How can you say that Uhuru/ Ruto don’t need people, that they already have excess votes just waiting to deliver them in 2017? Does it mean Jubilee is planning to rig again in 2017 because that is clearly the message you are putting across,” wondered the Bomet Governor.
The move left Murkomen with a rotten egg on his face as he didn’t know what t0 say next and wished he hadn’t said those words in the first place.
