Budalangi MP, Ababu Namwamba, is without a doubt one of the most promising politicians in Kenya and one that can actualize the ever elusive Luhya unity if given a chance.
His influence and political clout spans across the entire country and some are already proposing that he takes over from Raila Odinga as CORD’s Presidential candidate in 2022.
Even before then, the Budalangi MP is already enjoying trappings of power and rolls like a real king.
This was evident when he landed at Kisumu International Airport where a carpet was rolled for him as he was received by Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma and his Siaya counterpart, Cornel Rasanga, among other dignitaries, who lined up to welcome him to Nyanza. Even Raila Odinga wished that he was there to receive the promising politician, who is also his Secretary General for ODM.
Traditional dancers and CORD supporters also flocked the airport to welcome Ababu Namwamba to Nyanza to launch Tokelezea ID initiative, which is aimed at sensitizing youths to take Ids in large numbers to ensure Raila Odinga beats Uhuru/ Ruto in 2017.
