When Wadi was arrested, state house bloggers colluded with a few journalists to hide his situation from the public. They knew where he was, when he would be charged and kept quiet till the poor boy was processed and condemned without a lawyer.
A notorious standard newspaper journalist, using his Facebook following, then started spinning how Wadi pleaded guilty. What they didn’t say is that Wadi had been physically assaulted and jailed without legal representation. The media, for several days after, moved on as usual, until we started raising the strange legal process Wadi went through. Who switched them off? Like now, they switched themselves off.
These open biases, hiding the truth, peddling half-truths, setting no agenda, state house meddling, journalists on hire, etc are part of my reasons for feeling no remorse for the four media houses.
