They were the two anchors who lit the screen like never before. Even so, Larry Madowo and Victoria Rubadiri’s days on the screen together were unexpectedly cut short by factors beyond their control.
When Larry and Vicky stopped anchoring news together on the screen, many theories arose to explain what transpired. The most common of the conspiracy theory is that the two had a beef.
But the truth straight from the horse’s mouth has finally arrived. In a telephone call that was organized by Hero Radio, Larry cleared the air on her perceived beef with Vicky.
“Hehehe who said I had beef. People love to speculate and people love to add one plus one. But there is no adding to be done.” Larry told Tedd, a caller who asked Hero Radio to be connected with Larry.
“As a typical anchor in studio, what works is that we have pairs and these pairs are interchangeable. So last week I did news with Smiti and sometimes you see Vicky doing news with whomever like now she started with Ken Mijungu. So these anchoring schedules changes.” Larry explained.
Larry categorically stated he doesn’t have beef with Vicky saying NTV anchoring schedules are geared towards ensuring every anchor works with one another. He further stated there would be be changes in how news anchors work with their colleagues.
“It’s not about Vicky and I. Vicky and I have a great friendship and I have lots of respect for her. She is one of the best professionals I have ever had an opportunity to work with.” The lively Larry uttered.
