The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) on Thursday accused President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, of dancing on Kenyans’ graves and the two have failed completely in the mandate to secure Kenyans.
Speaking after 100 people were killed by bandits in Nadome village, Turkana County, on Tuesday, ODM chairman John Mbadi demanded that Uhuru and Ruto show signs of leadership from the front and avoid “retreats and warnings”.
“We want to appeal to the President and his Deputy to stop dancing on the graves of Kenyans. The President and his Deputy must stop mistaking the wailings of mourning Kenyans for songs,” Mbadi said.
“Mr President, give us back our country,” Mbadi who was accompanied by Suna East MP, Junnet Mohamed, said.
They also accused the President and his Deputy of showing no remorse despite the killings in Kapendo, Garissa and now Nadome and Loyangalani, where another 13 people were killed on Monday.
