A plane carrying President Uhuru Kenyatta to Dubai was forced to turn back home on Thursday after navigation challenges as a result of military activity in Yemen.

Reacting to this news, celebrated blogger and activist, Robert Alai, said people who tried to have Uhuru Kenyatta fly over Yemen should be charged with “attempted murder” because they knew very well that Yemen is a volatile region.

Alai said last week, the Saudi Arabian Government threatened to shoot down a KQ plane after it defied advice not to fly over Yemen airspace.

The blogger said most pilots in the world know that Yemen airspace is a dangerous flight route and it is bad for Uhuru’s pilot to expose him to a danger of such magnitude.

People who tried to have Uhuru Kenyatta fly over Yemen should be charged with attempted murder – Treason,” Alai said.
