Deputy President William Ruto could not hold his emotions once again as he burst into tears in public and in the full glare of cameras.

This followed a moving poem by 8-year old, Nina Kanana Mutheu, which left the Deputy President in tears.

The heart-warming poem, complete with Ruto’s pet name - Uncle Willy - moved the DP to the breaking point as he literally sobbed while the crowd cheered on.

In her poem, little Nina wished her ‘uncle’ William Ruto a long life and blessings as well as sent him to greet his big ‘uncle’ - Uncle Uhuru.

Her greatest wish was to sit next the second most powerful man in the land, something that Ruto gladly granted her and life was never the same again for her as she not only sat next him but also received a big hug from the Deputy President as tears rolled down his cheeks.

Weeping has now become a norm for William Ruto - in 2013 after Jubilee took over power, the Deputy President broke down and cried in church as his dear wife, Rachel, consoled him.

He has also sobbed in other occasions after being overrun by emotions.
