Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, on Tuesday told President Uhuru Kenyatta that some of his advisers are letting him down on the issue of security.

Addressing over 6,000 delegates during the 2nd Devolution Conference held at the lakeside town of Kisumu, Raila told President Kenyatta, who was the Chief Guest of the conference, that he is being let down by his close advisers .

“Your Excellency, your people are letting you down.” Raila told President Uhuru Kenyatta on security.

Raila Odinga, who is also the CORD leader, urged Uhuru’s administration to work on Kenya Defence Forces’ exit strategy from Somalia saying we have lost so many Kenyans for the last two years.

He also called on President Uhuru to fire Kenya Airwing Commandant, Rodgers Mbithi, who airlifted his daughter-in-law to Mombasa instead of airlifting Reece Commandos to rescue Garissa University students who were held hostage by Al Shabaab terrorists on April 2nd.

During the Garissa Siege, 148 people lost their lives and Raila blamed the security agencies for not responding well to the operation.
