I have carried him on my motorcycle twice since you people reported that he had disappeared,” one boda boda rider said.<br /> <br /> Yebei, who has been making headlines for the last one month over his disappearance, was allegedly abducted on December 27, 2014 from Turbo market north of Eldoret where he had gone to have his sick child treated.<br /> <br /> Some days later, a body initially believed to be that of Yebei was retrieved by police at River Yala bridge on January 5 this year bearing marks of barbaric torture - his ears and eyes gouged out and his genitals chopped off.<br /> <br /> However, when police conducted a DNA test, they established that the body is not that of Yebei.<br /> <br />  Yebei is Deputy President William Ruto’s witness at the ICC.

Police had to fire tear gas at the protestors to disperse them.<br /> <br /> The officers are currently paroling the town and are escorting motorists, some of whom had their vehicles damaged by the protestors.<br /> <br /> Narok Senator Ole Ntutu and four area MPs are currently being held at the Muthaiga Police Station after they were arrested for leading protests against the leadership of Governor Samuel Tumai.<br /> <br /> Ntutu and MPs Moitalel ole Kenta (Narok North), Patrick Ntutu (Narok West), Johana Ngeno (Emurua Dikirr) and Korei ole Lemein (Narok South), were arrested after they recorded statements at the CID headquarters over the incident.<br /> <br /> Lawyer Martin Kamwaro who is acting for Senator Ole Ntutu and the MPs, told journalists outside the CID headquarters that the leaders are expected in court tomorrow where they will be charged with incitement to violence.<br /> <br /> The leaders had led protestors in Narok town seeking to remove Governor Samuel Tunai from office over corruption allegations.<br /> <br /> Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery said on Monday that the leaders who led the demonstrations will be held responsible for holding the protest despite a directive from the CS barring any demonstrations or rallies in the area.<br /> <br /> During the demonstration in which one person was killed and several others were injured, the leaders and protesters attempted to evict Tunai from office due to corruption allegations against him. Tunai is said to have squandered community funds.<br /> <br /> He was given 21 days to respond to the accusations or the leaders would petition President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the county government.<br /> <br /> The protests went on despite a directive from Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery warning against the demonstrations on Sunday.<br /> <br /> Emurua Dikirr MP Ngeno and his Narok West counterpart Ntutu, accused Nkaissery of being used by the state to suppress the rights of the Maasai community.

This must come to an end and the PS should be ready to face me in Court. We will also summon him to appear before the Senate Transport and Infrastructure Committee where I am a member,” said Sonko while speaking to a local daily.<br /> <br /> According to Sonko’s senior aide the KENHA officials flagged down the tanker demanding for a bribe of Kshs 10,000 for each of the 3 trips it had made. The aide wonders how a tanker carrying 10,000 liters of water can carry excess weight yet it’s it’s designed and sealed to carry a maximum of 10,000 liters. Unless you put another tanker on top of the one authorized to carry the allowed that weight.<br /> <br /> Police officers at Mtwapa Police station have dismissed reports that Sonko is under probe over the incident. Museveni has remained in the driving seat for a kind of pan-african jingoism whose main target has been the Hague-based International Criminal Court<br /> <br /> Since March 2010 when the ICC indicted six Kenyans including two prominent politicians William Samoei Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta, who would then effectively rally their communities against that judicial institution, invoking a not-so-distant memory of European colonialism, and win the Presidency, Museveni has been a ‘guest with a single message’ in all Kenya’s national celebrations: bash the ICC.<br /> <br /> In June, 2013, during the celebration of AU’s 50 years, Museveni led other African nations in sending a thickly laden message to the court. Borrowing the usual Kenya’s propaganda script of making all kinds of wild allegations on the court, especially its prosecutor, Museveni claimed they (African Presidents) have information the ICC intends to detain President Uhuru.<br /> <br /> “ICC should tell us if they plan to detain (Kenyan President Uhuru) Kenyatta. They should give us an explanation if he is going to come back to Kenya because the information we are receiving is different. We will not agree to have him attend if the intention is to detain him. If we don’t have a clear picture of the plans by the International Court, then it means our relations with them will be soured. They should treat us with dignity,” Museveni roared.<br /> <br /> In the same year, during the inauguration of Uhuru, the President-elect, at Kasarani, Museveni claimed the election of Uhuru was a rejection of the ‘blackmail’ by the ICC and its neo-colonial masters.<br /> <br /> “I want to salute the Kenyan voters for the rejection of the blackmail by the International Criminal Court (ICC) and those who seek to abuse this institution for their own agenda,” he said amid cheers from Kenyan jubilant supporters of the two indictees-turned-president and deputy.<br /> <br /> Waxing lyrical, Museveni even attempted to pitch for a broader understanding of  why violence occur in Africa, and, quite falsely, presumed that a ‘legalistic process, especially an external one” cannot address such events.<br /> <br /> “A legalistic process, especially an external one, however, cannot address those events. Events of this nature first and most importantly, need an ideological solution by discerning why they happened”.<br /> <br /> But Kenya’s post election violence pale in comparison with the sheer brutality of the Lords Resistance Army of Museveni’s own country. If Museveni was true to his word, then, truly, an external legal process cannot resolve the LRA menace if couldn’t resolve the Kenyan situation.<br /> <br /> Of course Museveni was all along bluffing. Like other African dictators, Museveni found the ICC an issue he could opportunistically hung on, while overlording it in Uganda.<br /> <br /> But the arrest of Dominic Ongwen has blown the cover off for Museveni.
