Nigerian singer Iyanya has finally responded to the scathing attacks by Jaguar.<br />
<br />
During the Bingwa awards earlier in January, the Mwaka Huu hitmaker blasted Nigerian artists and in particular Iyanya over the controversial events that led to the making of One Centimetre remix video. According to Jaguar, Iyanya had strict instructions. He also apparently refused a copy of the video claiming that Kenyan music cannot be played in Nigeria.<br />

Iyanya has however hit back claiming that Jaguar did not even attempt to introduce himself to the Nigerian media<br />

“I told Jaguar to go out and introduce himself to the media, the same way I told Diamond and Sauti Sol, but he didn’t. I don’t know if he was expecting me to do his job for him, He was just lounging around for over ten days. He did not even make any effort, not even a newspaper interview.” He told The Nairobian.<br />

When the name calling, the blame game, the funny memes and the demonstrations finally die-down on The Nairobi Aviation College expose – and we all have a sober moment to reflect – I hope we will ask ourselves two simple questions:<br />
<br />
1. If the bogus certificate you are buying is saving you 3/4 years of fees at a cost of roughly Kshs. 300,000/=, surely the cost of that certificate should be at least HALF the value of the fees.<br />
3,000/= just doesn’t cut it!!! When are we going to look out for ourselves enough to question even our dodgy deals.<br />
<br />
2. As parents and guardians – when is the future of our children going to matter enough for us to get involved all the way. Kids don’t pay their own fees. We can look for people to blame and we will and we are – but the buck stops with us.<br />
Someone realised that we don’t care enough and are not diligent enough, we are not involved enough – and saw a gap…….<br />

A 35-year-old male fashion designer, Wahab Sa’adu had cut off his penis with a razor blade in a bush close to his house located at Alapa, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, The Trent reports<br />
A source from the family who pleaded anonymity said the victim had rushed back to the house with his bleeding manhood on his hand on Monday, January 26, 2015.<br />
“We were at home preparing for the day’s work when Sa’adu came in with part of his manhood in his hand with blood stain all over his trouser.<br />
<br />
“His (Wahab) loud cry drew the attention of people in the neighbourhood to our house and everyone was shocked to see what had happened, ”said the source.<br />
<br />
His father who could not stand the sight of his son’s severed member passed out immediately.<br />
Sa’adu was immediately rushed to a private clinic in the area for quick first aid treatment before he was later transferred to another private hospital at Tanke, Ilorin, the state capital.<br />
Speaking in excruciating pains from the hospital bed, the victim said his action was the “handiwork of witches”, who attacked and controlled him through the dream.<br />
He said, “Prior to the incident, I had a dream in which three unidentified women appeared to me and ordered that I drink battery acid, which I did the following morning without the knowledge of anyone.”<br />
“Three days after, I had another dream where the same women ordered me to wake up and cut off my penis. It was after cutting it off that I regained consciousness. So I rushed home for immediate remedy.”<br />
One of wives of the victim who craved anonymity said she had accepted her fate because their marriage had produced four issues including twins.<br />

A man who was hell-bent on getting arrested, walked into a police station, dropped his pants and started masturbating in front of stunned cops.<br />
According to Dailymail,Ruhan Karjohn, 31, from Hartford Connecticut initially went into the police station at 1pm on Sunday and asked cops if there were any warrants out for his arrest.<br />
He was told there were none and he left.<br />
But a short time later he returned to the lobby of the police department and announced that he wanted to go to jail.<br />
In a bizarre series of events, police said Karjohn then dropped his pants and began to masturbate.<br />
According to a police report: 'Citizens in the lobby observed this and ran from the area in shock.'<br />

<b>9. Sores on the lips or tongues:</b> As noted earlier, STDs can be transmitted through oral sex. If this is the route of transmission, then there could be sores on the lips and/or the tongue.<br />

<b>10. Fever, Aches, Nausea and Vomiting:</b> This may be a non-specific symptom that can be experienced in many other diseases asides STDs.<br />

However, the combination of these symptoms with any of the other ones listed above may be a strong indication that it is a STD.<br />

 Early diagnosis and treatment is important in all cases of STDs because the later treatments are started, the more difficult it becomes to treat. This is why it is important that you see a doctor immediately you suspect you have a STD. Just taking some medications for some days can help free you from the discomfort.<br />

Another important thing is that you should not be the only one seeking medical attention, your sexual partner(s) too should be encouraged to do the same because if they don't get treatment, there is a high likelihood of you getting re-infected.

The recent handling of the Langata Primary school land grabbing malady by CS Charity Ngilu again demonstrates that governance in Kenya is not directed at ending corruption but building the stomach infrastructures of the few at the helm of affairs. Thus, by undisguisedly failing to name and shame the so called ‘Prominent Politician’, madam Charity confirmed that the Kenyatta administration has turned into you-rub-my-back-I-rub-your-back- charade.<br />
<br />
By defending and anointing the kleptocratic leaders with impunity in broad daylight, Kenya has become an international monumental shame and it is quite obvious that the whole world is marvelled at us.<br />
<br />
Strikingly, it’s only in Kenya where leaders are elected, paid jumbo salaries and allowances, but still, they neglect their onerous responsibilities in the face of insecurity, poverty and economic malaises. Poor Kenyans have suddenly turned preys in the hands of their bloody thirsting greedy leaders.<br />
<br />
By outrightly raping our constitutional democracy, the Kenyan leadership has fallen from grace. Leaders have successfully emasculated innocent members of their communities and are now using them as shields against unfavorable political hurricanes. They are internationally acclaimed for having held the highest records for venality, hypocrisy, lying and suicidal maneuvers. Mesmerizingly, they show no shame and scant regard for impending consequences.<br />
<br />
The implication of Ngilu’s nomenclatural silence on naming the Langata school grabbers is that political lords will always be cosseted by senior government officials. They steal behemoth sums of money in immunity and walk away with impunity. Nevertheless, when they are named for shaming, their communities chip in to defend them while they deify them.<br />
<br />
It is now apparent that the current polity has since neglected to care for its citizens. All the President and his deputy are after is the return-to-power ticket to continue to pillage the funds of the people. If all the calculations of the Jubilee administration ahead of the 2017 General Elections is that of individual political survival, where then lies the hope of an average Kenyan?<br />
<br />
From the look of things, it is undoubtedly incontrovertible that no new magic is being formulated by the Jubilee government on how to resuscitate and revivify the economy to halt escalating national debt burden. Unrealistic to its pre-election promises, the Uhuru administration shows no sign of creating jobs for the youths to curb the astronomical ballooning of unemployment, jump-starting comatose industries like Pan Paper Mills and preventing paralyzing industrial actions in educational and health sectors.<br />
<br />
Government tenders are grotesquely sprawled based on what-you-know-about-who-you-know in the government. The government is thankless to its constitution since it has unreciprocated the efforts of its promulgators.<br />
<br />
Given the spate at which Kenyan economical situation is exacerbating, this pile of garbage and ineptitude is heading in one direction—toward a long-term crisis very costly to all, God forbid, I have a premonition that President Uhuru will leave the state of the nation worse than he found it.<br />
<br />
The velocity at which public property is being appropriated by the few fair-haired comrades in the government will soon precipitate an impending unredeemable leadership crisis. What’s worse is that even as poor citizens continue to be stuck in the poverty trap, not even the financial wizardry of the so called top financial advisors and policy makers in the government, has been able to halt corruption and intensifying national debts.<br />
<br />
Still worse, according to the untold immutable rumour by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) the unemployment rate has relatively increased by 14%, compared to the previous year’s statistics.<br />
<br />
This impregnable fact serves to buttress the assertions that senior government positions are held by imprudent greenhorns where majority of them happen to belong to a particular community. These improvident ungallant political tenderfoots have converted Kenyans to Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) where they incautiously withdraw with pleasure and satisfaction.<br />
<br />
To prove the level of impunity and the incongruity of the situation in the land, poor Kenyans are unduly encumbered with the vainglorious task of collecting funds for their trips abroad – together with their families – by their solicitous government despite the present economic financial malaise.<br />
<br />
Instead of galvanizing the country to confront and ultimately end corruption that has rampantly overrun government offices, this administration has continued to chase shadows by sacrificing what is dear to Kenyans on the altar of selfish politics.<br />
<br />
Instead of endearing itself to the people by accomplishing the promises it pledged to them before acceding to the Presidency, the Kenyatta administration has repeatedly deployed uncultured methods to alienate Kenyans through indecency, insensitivity, corruption and cluelessness.<br />
<br />
Like I always say, the President and his deputy lack vision and foresight necessary to govern a multicultural, multi-religious, pluralistic and multi-ethnic society such as ours. Their administration has fallen short of ensuring that its laws and acts bear the imprint of justice, moderation and the spirit of order.<br />
<br />
Unapologetically, why must we wait for others to berate and prod us to carry out our duties? Heartrendingly, governance in Kenya has been turned into an implement of patronage. The nepotistic manner in which people are being elected to government offices is tellingly abysmal and uncalled for. For sure, when you look around, there is nothing to smile about.<br />
<br />
Lastly, here is a piece of advice to the Jubilee bickerers like Duale et al; At this point in the turmoil, there is only one chance to turn things around, albeit it’s a long shot.<br />
<br />
Tone down your ‘explanations’ and self justifications. Stop threats and sanctions, at least, for the time being. We all know this tendency won’t bear any fruit and that diplomatic failure will soon call you forth again. Your objective as government leaders should be to help to help the President descend from his perilous perch.

Wow! This has escalated quickly. Less than 24 hours after NTV aired the ‘Certificates of Doom’ expose that painted Aviation College in bad light, irate students of the institution are now protesting Nation Media Group.<br />

Last night, NTV’s investigative journalist Dennis Okari reminded us of his investigative capabilities with ‘Certificates of Doom’.<br />

He focused on Nairobi Aviation College, exposing the substandard education and the fake certificates being sold there.<br />
<br />
Not everyone was pleased with his decision to focus on just one college when it’s pretty obvious there are many more culprits. One of the dissenting voices was blogger Robert Alai.<br />
<br />
In his characteristic style, Alai took to social media to ‘expose’ media personalities who are graduates of Nairobi Aviation, some of whom are actually working at NTV.<br />
<br />

Dennis Okari is back. His investigative series were a must watch before he left for the BBC, and he has stepped up his game upon returning to NTV.<br />

On Sunday night, he brought us ‘Certificates of Doom’, some brilliant investigative work exposing how easy it is to get fake university documents,<br />
<br />
He centered his investigation around Nairobi Aviation College. An undercover ‘student’ was able to enroll for an Engineering course despite explaining to the front office lady that he is a Std 6 dropout who can barely read or write.<br />
<br />
Such a course requires a minimum grade of C in KCSE, and this is a guy who did not even seat for KCPE. Another undercover ‘student’ was able to bribe a lecturer into receiving a certificate for only Sh4000.<br />
<br />
A few lecturers also admitted to doing a shoddy job.<br />
<br />
Though I believe Dennis should not have solely focused on Nairobi Aviation, it was an eye opener. It will also be interesting to watch what happens next from the government and employers. More interesting in that some journalists at Nation Media are actually graduates of Nairobi Aviation.<br />
