For almost a month now, Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a has been under heavy scrutinization by the media following the alleged hit and run road accident that left a pedestrian dead along Limuru highway. Apart from seeking for justice, these investigations have also made Kenyans get more concerned with the private life of the controversial cleric.<br />

Neno Evangelism Senior Pastor, James Maina Ng’ang’a, was  released on a Sh 500, 000 bail or a one million shilling bond with a surety of a similar amount on Friday in a case where he is charged with causing death by dangerous driving on July 26.<br />
<br />
While delivering the ruling, Limuru Senior Magistrate, Timothy Tanchu, said that he released the controversial Pastor on bail because the court’s Prosecution failed to provide sufficient reasons why Ng’ang’a should be denied bail as he had cooperated with the police during the entire period of investigations.<br />
<br />
Ng’ang’a, who appeared confused after his release, was seen shaking his head as an army of journalists tried to compete on who will take the best shot of the charlatan Pastor.<br />
<br />
Speaking to journalists after his 2 day incarceration at Gigiri Police Station, Ng’ang’a used the Kikuyu language to communicate and said, “Ngai mohere tondu matiuyi  uria marekaga. (God forgive them because they don’t know what they were doing,”<br />
<br />
He also requested a police officer who was by his side to give him two minutes so that he can pray.<br />
<br />
When he was released, a mammoth crowd of his supporters waved placards threatening police officers who arrested Ng'ang'a.<br />
<br />
“The Bible says never touch the anointed,” one of the placards read.<br />
<br />
Ng’ang’a, who has a huge following in Nairobi, said he will deliver a big testimony on Sunday and asked his congregation to turn in large numbers to hear his prophetic message.<br />

A KTN journalist, who had gone to cover a robbery incident at Neno Evangelism Pastor, James Maina Nganga’s home in Karen on Friday is nursing serious injuries after he was attacked by a machete wielding man believed to be the Pastor’s herd’s boy.<br />
<br />
The journalist was among many others who were chased away like dogs by youth armed with machetes.<br />
<br />
The reporters had gone to the preacher’s home following reports that robbers had stolen an unspecified amount of money believed to be more than Sh500, 000.<br />
<br />
The robbery which detectives say was stage managed happened at around 3.30 am where thugs gained entry into the house by cutting window grills.<br />
<br />
The youths accused journalists of tarnishing the name of their employer by calling him a fake pastor.<br />
<br />
“Pastor Nganga is a man of God and anyone seen tarnishing his name will be dealt with ruthlessly,” one youth roared.<br />

Journalists were forced to seek assistance from police who guarded them outside Nganga’s home.

Well, this became a reality for the founder of Neno Evangelism Centre, Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a, who was arrested yesterday by Flying Squad and locked up at Gigiri Police Station for killing Mercy Njeri and attempting to circumvent justice.<br />

His wife, Loise Murugi, who only recently exposed the lie that is her rogue husband, Ng’anga, visited him at the police cell to offer both moral and financial support.<br />
<br />
Loise, who filed for divorce one year after a glamorous wedding with the rogue pastor in 2012, was caught on camera busy moving up and down at the police station and even talking to detectives, ostensibly to secure the release of her ex-husband, after his lawyers failed to save him from the long arm of the law.<br />
<br />
She put her past behind her to fight for the man she once loved and who later turned to be the ‘beast and the devil incarnate’.<br />
<br />
In her divorce papers, Loise termed Ng’ang’a as a drunkard, wife batterer and an adulterous ‘servant of God’ who sleeps with his staff and brings married women from his church to their matrimonial bed to have s*x.<br />
<br />
But even with all that in her mind, Ng’ang’a’s ex-wife still had some soft spot for him and did a lot for him yesterday that the rogue pastor himself did not imagine could happen.<br />
<br />
And as it appears, Ng’ang’a’s arrest brought his ‘wife’ back to him.<br />

Defiant controversial preacher, Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a, now appears to be cashing in big in the controversy surrounding his alleged ‘murder’ of Mercy Njeri with his Range Rover in Limuru last week.<br />

Speaking to journalists yesterday, Ng’ang’a said he is enjoying the fame and publicity that he is getting for allegedly killing Mercy Njeri in a fatal road crash because he could not have afforded it by himself.<br />

He noted that he has become an instant celebrity because of ‘killing’ Mercy Njeri as every media now wants to cover him and put him on the front page for free. He says he never imagined that one day he will headline local dailies.<br />
<br />
He said even at KBC where he runs his program, he has to pay a whopping sh300, 000 for just 30 minutes of airtime but he’s now getting free coverage thanks to God.<br />
<br />
“I have become an instant celebrity, nimepokea free front page ya Nation and other local dailies. Do you know how much I pay at KBC for only 30 minutes? I pay about sh300, 000. But here I am being given free coverage. Let God be called God,” said Ng’ang’a.<br />

They say you can run but not hide. Well, this could be true for controversial televangelist, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, of Neno Evangelism Centre, who killed Mercy Njeri last week and bribed the police to cover up everything and destroy the case.<br />
<br />
Well, Kenyans seem not to be done with the ‘good Pastor’ and this was clearly demonstrated when angry residents stormed Limuru Court, during the mentioning of a case in which his car allegedly killed Mercy, baying for his blood for killing one of their own with impunity and attempting to get away with it.<br />
<br />
The angry residents, who stood in solidarity with Mercy’s family, demonstrated outside the Limuru court demanding that Ng’ang’a be handed over to them in order to lay their hands on him, but unfortunately he was not in the court at the time; otherwise, we would be talking of a different story by now.<br />
<br />
They accosted Maina Kuria, the man who was presented in court as the one who killed Mercy with Ng’ang’a’s Range Rover, accusing him of agreeing to take the bullet for the rogue preacher.<br />
<br />
The residents accused Ng’ang’a of using other people’s children to cover up for his bad habits saying it is not the first time that he has killed someone and sent someone to take his place.<br />
<br />
“This is not the first time Ng’ang’a has killed someone and planted an innocent person to take his place. He always kills and sends someone to take the bullet for him at a price,” said one of the demonstrators.<br />
<br />
Nonetheless, they hoped that the wheels of justice will move faster to bring Ng’ang’a to book.
