The family of the International Criminal Court (ICC) witness Meshack Yebei has condemned Deputy President William Ruto for his passive role in their quest to find their kin - dead or alive.

The family says that since his disappearance last year, Ruto has never visited them to condole with them despite having admitted that Yebei was his witness at the ICC.

Besides, Yebei is Ruto’s neighbour back home and it is only prudent that he becomes a good neighbor.

Speaking yesterday, Yebei’s mother blamed the Deputy President for not standing with the family at this time of need and doing nothing to help with the DNA results of the disputed body that was later said to belong to Yusuf Hussein.

She trashed the DNA results claiming that someone tampered with them and added that despite the body being buried by Hussein’s family, she is confident that it belongs to Yebei and that one day the truth will come out.

“William Ruto has never come here to condole with us or done anything to find Yebei despite having been his witnesses and neighbor. None of the top URP politicians has been here,” Yebei’s mother said.

The family has taken some tissue sample from Yusuf’s body to South Africa for further DNA testing to clear their doubts.
