Deputy President, William Ruto, may find himself in trouble if he continues shouting about forceful repatriation of 600,000 Somali refugees from Kenya, a senior ODM MP has said.

In an interview with NTV on Monday morning, Kibera MP, Ken Okoth said Ruto should watch his big mouth because it may land him in trouble.

Okoth said Ruto’s remarks that the Government will forcefully repatriate Somalia refuges if United Nations refuses to repatriate them within the next 90 days equals to crimes against humanity and the International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, may use the remarks to introduce new evidence in his case.

“Ruto should watch his mouth because he may find himself locked up at the ICC. His remarks that the Government will forcefully repatriate refugees amount to crimes against humanity,” Okoth said.

Pundits also said the United Nations and other Non Government Organizations are planning to sue Ruto for trying to chase refugees away because his remarks amount to a breach of international law.

Two weeks ago, immediately after the Garissa University College terror attack, Ruto gave the United Nations' Refugees Agency three months to relocate refugees from the Dadaab Camp - the world’s largest - to Somalia, or "we shall relocate them ourselves."

“The way America changed after 9/ 11 is the way Kenya will change after Garissa," said Ruto.
