Speaking on Friday, Raila Odinga, through ODM Chairman, John Mbadi, said the recent development in the fight against corruption in Government was the work of a vibrant Opposition.
Mbadi said as Opposition, they have archived a lot by putting Uhuru/ Ruto on toes to ensure they deliver on their campaign promises.
The OMD Chair, who is also the MP for Suba, said their landslide wins in two crucial by-elections, judicial suspension of reprisal security laws, suspension of corrupt officials by Uhuru and increased money to Counties were among the achievements of Raila Odinga’s CORD.
“Our work is to hold the Government to account. That’s what we have done. We have stopped reprisal laws from being passed. We have made sure the audit reports are up to date, and that means we denied Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government an excuse to continue giving Counties little money. We also kept pressure on Uhuru to deal with corruption and you can see he has acted,” said Mbadi.
CORD further boasted of having donated one of his MPs, Joseph Nkaisery, to help Uhuru/ Ruto in tackling security of the country as the Cabinet Secretary for Interior.
