Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko is among senior Governments who are mentioned in the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) list of shame that was tabled in Parliament by President Uhuru Kenyatta last week. 
 
The flamboyant Senator, who is famous for his philanthropic work, is accused by the EACC of colluding with suspended Energy Cabinet Secretary, Davis Chirchir, in stealing Sh 1.39 billion from the Kenya Pipeline Company. 
 
“Energy CS Chirchir is accused of attempts to influence a KPL tender award to SINOPEC, which was to yield Sh1.3b to be shared with Mike Sonko,” the EACC reports reads. 
 
The Nairobi Senator also features on a land graft case where he is accused of plotting to pocket Sh 65 million in form of kickbacks in the sale of the controversial Waitiki farm. 
 
He was planning to share the amount with Lands Cabinet Secretary, Charity Ngilu, who is also in the “List of Shame”

Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, is among 10 Governors who are adversely mentioned by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) in connection with misappropriating millions of shillings that belong to the good people of Bomet County. 
 
According to an EACC dossier that was recently handed over to parliament by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ruto, who is also the Chairman of the Council of Governors, is accused of looting over Sh 800 million shillings. 
 
With this money, he bought 40 earth movers worth Sh 400 million for his construction company, a chopper worth Sh 300 million to help him move around and a palatial house worth Sh 33 million. 
 
“Allegations of accumulating immense wealth including: 40 earth movers/ tippers / graders all estimated  at Sh 400 million, a chopper  worth Sh 300 million, and a palatial house worth Sh 33 million. He also operates several petrol stations,” part of the dossier reads. 
 
Ruto however maintained that he is innocent and he will not resign because he is not a thief.

The Ethic and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) report tabled in Parliament Tuesday shed light on the accusations facing top Government officials. 
 
Suspended Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture Felix Koskei now knows the accusations facing him after the list was unveiled and graft cases listed. 
 
According to the report, it is alleged that Koskei allocated permits to some business people to import sugar without going through open tendering and against the procurement laws of Kenya and the policy under COMESA rules. 
 
Koskei also faces allegations of conflict of interest, abuse of office and intimidation. 
 
Also from the report, it is said that Koskei under unclear circumstances rented Government land Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute at Tigoni and has ploughed 100 acres where he has planted potatoes, an undertaking being managed by his PA MR. Kigen.

Information alleging that she , in collusion with Mr Evason Waitiki owner of Waitiki farm in Likoni, inflated the actual market price for the land by Sh110 million. 
 
Transport Cabinet Secretary Michael Kamau 
 
He is alleged to have inflated the Standard Gauge Railway consultancy fees involving billions of shillings through APEC firm. 
 
Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir is alleged to be perpetrating corruption in the Ministry’s tenders and procurement process. He is accused of working to ensure that corrupt deals in the energy sector are successfully executed. 
 
Ministry of Labour’s Kazungu Kambi is allegedly involved in corruption deals at NSSF which falls under his docket. Kambi has come out strongly in support of the NSSF Tassis II project despite clear indications that the Board of Trustees did not approve the project’s revised cost estimate of Sh5053 billion from Sh3.304 billion as required by procurement laws and that the alleged approval by way of email circulation was improper and irregular.

Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, on Sunday claimed that his name was included in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s list of corrupt mongrels because he has been telling Deputy President William Ruto the truth. 
 
Speaking during a funds drive at Chebai AIC Church in Elgeyo Marakwet County, Ruto said he will not resign because he has not even at one time been summoned by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC). 
 
“No investigative body has ever been to Bomet to ask questions about anything. I am being hunted because I refused to toe William Ruto’s line,” the Governor said.

Speaking yesterday, Wambui blamed her female colleagues accusing them of driving male MPs to have s3x with them. 
 
She revealed that female MPs have been allowing their male counterparts who are not their husbands or boyfriends to touch them right within the precincts of Parliament and even take them out to drink until very late in the night where they end up having s3x while drunk. 
 
Wambui, who was speaking in Iria-ini during a fundraiser to buy a school bus, defended Busienei and male MPs over s3xu@l allegations against women, saying it is women who drive them crazy with their promiscuity and amorousness. 
 
“Women leaders are to blame for s3xu@l harassment from male MPs. They allow men who are not their husbands to touch them even in Parliament and even take them to dinner to have drinks until very late and they end up sleeping with them,” said Wambui.

Senior advisers to the office of the Deputy President William Ruto have resigned and some have shifted camps to the President’s office accusing the DP of being unable to consume ‘professional advice’. 
 
The technocrats in essence are echoing what Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto recently said of the Deputy President – that he is a roaming dictator whose word is law – and therefore unfit to be anything beyond his current station (as Deputy President). 
 
Of the six top technocrats in the office of the DP, five have since resigned, including Yale University academic Prof Hino Hiroyuki. 
 
The don, who used to be Economic Affairs Adviser to Former Prime minister Raila Odinga quit a year ago and returned to Yale University. 
 
According to sources, Ruto didn’t like him for the mere fact the he used to work as advisor to PM, yet he had been seconded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to advise the government of Kenya on the multi-billion projects Japan was funding. 
 
Another technocrat who has asked to be released from the DP’s office is Dr. James Nyoro, a food humanist whose paper on food security was dismissed by the botanist-cum-politician William Ruto as ‘idiotic’. 
 
Nyoro accuses Ruto of having no capacity to grasp professional advice. 
 
In sternest terms attributed to him, Njoro protested the ‘lack of professionalism and scarce attention to detail’ that is the modus operandi of the DP, a claim DP Ruto’s head of communications David Mugonyi has vehemently dismissed as ‘no story’, saying his boss is a professional pursuing a PhD. 
 
Ruto registered for a post-graduate degree in the 1990s and is yet to finish his studies. He is among Kenya’s longest learning PhD students! 
 
Former Permanent secretary on Climate Change Ali Mohammed has moved to the ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was hired as senior advisor on Climate Change. 
 
Two more officials have also moved from the DP’s office. Jasper Mbiuki, Legislative Affairs and Peter Kariuki, Governance, Accountability  and Deliver Adviser are said to have crossed over to OP where they worked before being seconded to the DP’s office. 
 
Ruto’s Chief of Staff Maryanne Keitanny are among national government officials who were suspended due to corruption. 
 
From the goings on at the DP’s office, it appears the only senior official with DP’s ears remaining is his Private Secretary Farouk Kibet. However, the tragedy with Mr. Kibet is that he is a std 3 drop-out who cannot consume anything technical to position the DP’s office as a serious governance unit within the presidency. 
 
Critics of Kibet also claim he is only fluent in Nandi language and depend on it so much so that if you want anything to be pushed by him, you have to translate it then express it in the Nandi dialect, an arduous task.

A middle aged man has reportedly abused his wife by putting super glue on her vagina. 
The woman, 40, from Mpumalanga in South Africa, has said she’ll never be able to have sex again because of the damage it has done to her genitalia. 
 
She told African Eye News Service: “My husband was an abusive man for many years. His abuse spiralled out of control when my uncle dropped me off at our home. He then accused me of cheating on him with my uncle.” 
 
The woman said that her husband screamed at her telling her he’d teach her a lesson. 
He allegedly took out a machete and threatened to chop off her head, if she didn’t lie down and open her legs. 
 
She said she was forced to lie there in “horror” as he applied the super glue. 
“Every time the month of March comes along I remember the cruelty that he showed me,” she said. 
“I do not know what would make a man who loves a woman do that to her. I wanted to press charges, but he fled and has not been seen since the incident. 
 
“I am scared that he might come back anytime and remove my head.” 
The woman now experiences severe pain every time she urinates and will never be able to have sex again. 
Women’s charities have condemned the act and urged a serious reaction. 
 
Polly Neate, CEO of Women’s Aid, said: “This is a serious incident of domestic violence. Unless we recognise domestic violence when we see it, we will never recognise how pervasive it is – in many cultures including our own – or achieve the cultural change needed to understand victims’ experiences and respond appropriately to both them and the perpetrators.”

President Barack Obama will make his first trip to Kenya, the country of his father's birth. 
 
The White House announced Monday morning that President Obama will travel to Kenya this July for the annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit, which the Kenyan government has agreed to co-host this year. 
 
“His trip will build on the success of the August 2014 U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit and continue our efforts to work with countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including Kenya, to accelerate economic growth, strengthen democratic institutions, and improve security,” the White House said in a statement. 
 
Obama's trip will be his fourth to sub-Saharan Africa since becoming president, said the White House. It will be his first to his father's homeland since his 2008 election. He did not visit Kenya during his last major trip to Africa in 2013 amid charges of crimes against humanity against the country's leader, Uhuru Kenyatta, at the International Criminal Court. 
 
Obama has indicated on several occasions that he would likely visit the country before the end of his presidency. 
 
The sixth annual summit will attempt to connect “emerging entrepreneurs with leaders from business, international organizations, and governments looking to support them.” The White House called the event a "global platform" for deepening relationships between the U.S. government, local leaders and communities. 
 
The 2014 summit was hosted in Morocco.

KTN’s investigative reporter, Mohammed Ali, has lashed out at President Uhuru Kenyatta after he ordered all State and public officials mentioned in the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) report to resign. 
 
Laying his sentiments on social media, Moha said that Uhuru is taking Kenyans for a ride since his new directive is more of a public relation stunt. 
 
The fiery journalist added that President Uhuru Kenyatta should look for babies to lie to because Kenyans are now wiser than before. 
 
Moha also added that there is a prominent Government leader who is missing in the list. 
He claims that the prominent leader popularly referred to as “Arap Mashamba” or Arap Singh, should be the first to resign following Uhuru Kenyatta’s new directive. 
 
“Stepping aside isn't enough. They should be jailed. The list isn't complete, where is the MissingSingh?” Read one of Moha’s tweets.

STATEMENT BY STATE HOUSE SPOKESPERSON ON VARIOUS MISTAKEN CLAIMS MADE BY POLITICAL LEADERS ON THE WAR ON CORRUPTION 
 
1. The President and the Deputy President have on several occasions stated their commitment to eradicate corruption and entrench high levels of accountability, transparency and responsibility throughout the Government and the public sector. The war on corruption must be won, and will be won. 
 
2. Several county governors have gone public with ill-informed, untrue and inappropriate claims regarding their accountability and obligation to submit themselves to the due process of law in regard to allegations of serious corruption directed at some of them. 
 
3. The fact that governors are elected leaders does not absolve them from accountability in accordance with the laws of the land. Election does not, and is not intended to confer a licence to loot. On the contrary, by virtue of being elected leaders, exercising the sovereign power of the people and having custody of large volumes of public funds, county governors must be held to the highest standard of probity. To suggest that elective office insures impunity insults the people who elected them and defiles the spirit of democracy and the rule of law. 
 
4. Moreover, Article 260 clearly describes county governors, legislators at all levels and other elected leaders as State Officers. Therefore, they fall squarely within the ambit of the constitutional and statutory requirements relating to integrity. They are also affected by the President’s directive to step aside. Everyone must recall that the President did not target any individual, or fire anyone; he only restated the inevitable imperatives of our constitutional dispensation and asserted well known principles of law. We are a Nation of Laws, not the whim of individuals. For this reason, politicians should not imagine that they can choose when to be bound by the law, and when to follow their fancy. 
 
5. Similarly, any claim that one is more or less innocent or guilty because in their view another person ought to be implicated is fraudulent and irresponsible. Leaders of integrity should not shy away from due process under any pretext. 
 
6. Politicians have tried to evade their responsibility with regard to integrity, accountability and transparency by irrelevantly, improperly and cynically making reference to the ongoing proceedings at the International Criminal Court. It is imperative to recognise the stark distinctions between the ICC and corruption. The ICC cases are not about corruption. In any event, it will be recalled that claims touching on the ICC were canvassed at length before the Constitutional Court prior to the last General Election. At the time, both candidates – now holders of the office of the President and Deputy President – willingly subjected to the due process of law as the Court considered their fitness in terms of Chapter 6 of the Constitution. Political leaders are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the decision of the court in CONSTITUTIONAL PETITION NUMBER 552 OF 2012 AS CONSOLIDATED WITH PETITIONS NUMBERS 554 OF 2012, 573 OF 2012 AND 579 OF 2012 in the Constitutional and Human Rights Division of the High Court. 
 
7. Political leaders should feel inspired to emulate the example of President and Deputy President in voluntarily submitting to due process. A leader whose conscience is clear should look forward to vindicating their innocence at any forum when necessary. 
 
8. The President and Deputy President assure all Kenyans that the war on corruption is off to a serious start, and that they shall not flinch until it is won. They have called on all Kenyans to maintain their support for this crusade to reclaim the soul of our Nation. Leaders must demonstrate their commitment by supporting the war or submitting themselves to due process at all times when required.

Cord co-principal Moses Wetang’ula has said State House officials removed Deputy President William Ruto’s name from a long list of corrupt individuals in a report prepared and forwarded recently to President Uhuru Kenyatta by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC). 
 
Wetang’ula made the remarks in Kimwanga village in Bungoma County recently during the funeral service of former chief Matayo Khisa. 
 
Wetang’ula slammed the Head of State saying his fight against corruption will amount to nothing if he protects some sacred cows in his Administration. 
 
“The President must show some seriousness in the war against graft otherwise his efforts will not succeed. Uhuru should have started the war on the cancer of corruption by telling his Number Two to step aside.” said Wetang’ula 
 
He said if Kenyatta was serious with eradicating corruption, he should have started by telling his deputy to step aside since he has been adversely mentioned in land-grabbing cases.

Reacting on social media, Kenyans all over the world congratulated the President for making such a bold move saying the father of the nation has put the country first before other things. 
 
But one day after that announcement, the same Kenyans who were congratulating him have dismissed President Kenyatta’s directive saying his 'List of Shame' lacks some names of the most corrupt leaders in Kenya. 
 
Among those complaining is Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, who said Uhuru should fire his Deputy, William Ruto, because he has been adversely mentioned in a series of scandals including land, the Central Bank looting and the Hustler’s Jet Scandal among others. 
 
“Uhuru should now fire his appointees. They serve at his pleasure! What about his deputy (Mr. Singh)?” Wetangula said on his Twitter account. 
 
Wetangula's sentiments were also echoed by respected US based dean, Prof Makau Mutua, who asked Uhuru to fire Ruto because he is linked to many corruption scandals. 
 
“William Ruto, Kenyatta's deputy, should resign. He's embroiled in so many corruption and legal scandals that I have lost count,” Makau said.

Agriculture cabinet secretary Felix Koskey has resigned from President Uhuru’s government. 
 
Koskei, an appointee of Deputy President William Ruto, bowed to pressure even after indicating yesterday that he would not resign. Koskei maintains he is innocent. 
 
Koskei heads one of the biggest cabinet dockets in government and is known to be among intellectuals who form William Ruto inner circle think tanks. 
 
“Even as I step aside today, I maintain that I have never been involved in any of the allegations against me,” he said while announcing his resignation.

Those of us who live along Thika Road are probably aware of the Sweet Heaven buses, especially those who live around Kahawa and KU areas. They’ve literally kicked the 14 seater matatu out of business, and it’s clear why they are a favourite. 
 
With their main target being Kenyatta University students, the ‘Sweet Heaven’ buses spare no cent in souping up their look. Loud music, glowing led lights, very cosy seats and impressive graffiti only start to describe the 33 seater buses. 
 
Speaking to Standard last week, fleet manager Kevin Munga revealed the amount it requires to bring one on the road. 
 
“It is a tricky business, but it’s worth the investment. There is what we call ‘standard make up,’ which costs  about Sh3.7 million, and extras, which include gravity, tinted glasses, interior and music, which costs an extra Sh1.7 million.” he said. 
 
Sh5.4 million is even more than you would expect to pay for the actual bus. Using that amount to further sex it up is just insane, and all for what? “Our passengers are mostly students, and we charge between Sh70 and 100.” he added. 
 
The matatu business is obviously not for everyone.

Yesterday turned out to be a rather unfortunate day for one Mr. Johnson Waweru, who was killed ‘in the line of duty’. 
 
Dandora Phase 1 residents were surprised to find the man dangling from a transformer pole after attempts to siphon oil turned fatal. 
 
“The man stepped on live wires then fell onto other live wires leading to his instant death,” said Buruburu OCPD Richard Kerich.  His body was taken to the City Mortuary.

A few days ago, Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko, came to the rescue of legendary actor, Mzee Ojwang, who nearly lost his sight as a result of diabetes. 
 
Apparently, the popular actor had been neglected by his former employers at KBC but Sonko came to his aid. 
 
After undergoing a successful eye surgery, Mzee Ojwang has regained his sight and he will now live a normal life. Below is what Sonko  had to say as he announced the good news. 
 
Thanks be to the Almighty...watu wangu NOTHING is impossible with God. I am pleased to report that Mzee Ojwang's surgery was very successfull. He has regained his eye sight and is now able to see well. Thank you to all those who chipped in...together we have changed someones life.

 A few days ago, Kenyans were shocked after learning that legendary actor, Mzee Ojwang, has been living in abject poverty after years of a successful acting career. 
 
The witty actor had become partially blind due to lack of proper medical attention and it now seems that most Kenyan actors are wasted due to frustrations. 
 
Sources intimate that popular actor, Omosh, who is popular for his role in Citizen TV’s high school drama, Tahidi High, has fallen into the dangerous jaws of alcoholism. 
 
The once energetic actor is now weak and cannot function without  alcohol. A few months ago, he nearly lost his life after he lost control of a car he had borrowed from a friend along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway. 
 
He was drunk at the time of the accident but he survived with minor injuries. 
 
The once popular actor is also totally broke and lives in an impoverished structure in Shauri Moyo Estate where drinking dens are scattered all over. 
 
He frequents those drinking dens to beg for  cheap liquor from his fellow drunkards. 
 
We are told that all Mamapimas (women who sell Chang’aa) in the area know him.

 A popular Citizen TV Swahili anchor, who salivates on anything in a skirt, was recently busted having S3x with an intern in the parking lot. 
 
He was tasting the intern’s honey pot in his Mercedes Benz and the s3xually energized lady gave it all to him. When the “game” became too hot, they started making strange noises as the car swayed back and forth. 
 
This attracted the attention of a security guard manning the premises and he was shocked to find the two exchanging fluids. 
 
The witty Swahili anchor, who keeps on narrating the tales told by his grandfather during news broadcast, was groaning like a donkey as he explored the gorgeous body of the bootylicious intern. 
 
Upon noticing that he had been busted, he bribed the watchman with Ksh 500 to shut his mouth.  But the loud-mouthed security guard  leaked the secret to fellow employees and the randy anchor has become a laughing stock in the Hurligham based media station. 
 
The s3x hungry intern dished out her flesh to the influential journalist so that he can help her secure a job in the media station. 
 
But she has turned out to be a subject of discussion at Royal Media  and has even been nick-named the “h()rny one”.

A randy Senator from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), who is known for his strong appetite for s3x, is being ridiculed by his clandestine lover for having a “small tool.”

Ford Kenya Party  Leader, Moses Wetangula, said yesterday that he is the only politician who can beat President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, into 2017. 
 
Speaking in Kitale when he opened a County party office, Wetangula said he will beat Uhuru/ Ruto by a landslide to give CORD its first Presidency and asked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to support his bid. 
 
Wetangula appealed to Raila and Kalonzo not to deny him the chance to face Uhuru/ Ruto at the ballot saying they can’t make it but he would with their support. 
 
“I am the only one capable of defeating Uhuru/ Ruto in 2017 if backed by my co-partners Raila and Kalonzo,” said Wetangula. 
 
The Bungoma Senator blasted the Jubilee Government of fueling corruption and negative ethnicity in Kenya saying he is in a better position to bring the country back on track. 
 
“The Jubilee leadership has let Kenyans down by fueling corruption. The opposition is ready to provide alternative leadership and I’m optimistic of carrying the day should my brothers in CORD support my bid,” said Wetang’ula.

Political differences between Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto and Deputy President, William Ruto, played out openly over the weekend after the Governor clashed with the DP’s messenger at a public function to the extent that they almost exchanged blows. 
 
Trouble started when Sotik MP, Dr. Joyce Laboso, who was representing Deputy President William Ruto in a meeting to raise funds for Boda Boda operators at Sigoi Grounds, criticized Governor Ruto and opposed his plans to construct a university in Chepalungu. 
 
Laboso, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, also accused the Bomet Governor of using intimidation to silence his critics saying such tricks won’t work on her. 
 
Her sentiments infuriated Governor Ruto prompting him to force his way to the podium and snatch the microphone from Laboso. It is at this point that he almost slapped her. 
 
Ruto demanded the meeting to end immediately because there was nothing important coming out of it. 
 
“If you want to bring agendas of other MPs to Bomet Town, we can as well bring this meeting to an end now in a manner that we know,” charged the Bomet Governor. 
 
The move sparked chaos, forcing the police to lob teargas and disperse supporters of Ruto and Laboso. 
 
Other MPs who attended the function sided with the Deputy Speaker while Ruto had no one to support him but his goons.
