Lands, Housing and Urban Development Cabinet Secretary Charity Kaluki Ngilu has been sent packing by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ngilu is said to have been outside the country when her colleagues were receiving their ‘resignation’ letters.

According to state house based blogger Dennis Itumbi, the Lands CS stepped aside in line with President’s directive that all mentioned in a confidential EACC report to step aside awaiting investigations.

“Lands, Housing and Urban Development Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu has stepped aside to allow for ongoing investigations by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in line with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive. The President has instructed Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i to act in her place,” he posted.
