» RAILA ODINGA‘s man stoned in Homa Bay as residents demand elections not selection!
Chaos and confusion marred the Homa Bay County senatorial campaigns on Sunday after ODM candidate, Moses Kajwang, and his entourage were stoned at Olare Market a few kilometres from Homa Bay town.
Kajwang’s entourage which was led by Suba MP, John Mbadi, was greeted by the crowd of young people who expressed their dissatisfaction with ODM's nomination of the late Senator's brother.
The charged youth were chanting “we want elections not selection,” and forced body guards to shoot in the air in a bid to disperse them.
The irate youth were chanting the name of Engineer Philip Okundi who has since ditched ODM for United Democratic Movement.
They said this was a wakeup call to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his followers to understand that time for imposing leaders on people is long gone. They insisted that people of Homa Bay must be allowed to elect their leaders democratically.
