Flamboyant businessman and car enthusiast Mike Gathecha is dead. Gathecha died on Saturday night at Roysambu after the car he was driving hit a stationary lorry.
Photos of his wrecked Toyota Crown have been splashed on social media, and it’s clear it was a nasty accident.
Gathecha may not be a household name, but he was quite known in the party scenes. He was the owner of the popular Juja Capital Centre – a restaurant, bar, lounge and tyre centre, among other businesses. He is also believed to have friends and business partners in high political offices.
Juja Capital confirmed his passing on Twitter.
Aside from his business exploits, Gathecha was famous for his flamboyance.
He not only owned very expensive fuel guzzlers, but also ensured they had customized number plates.
