The sex boycott which kicked off on Tuesday and which has since been extended to Sunday has been opposed.
Women leaders in Nairobi called on men to reconsider their move, terming it illicit, vexatious, duplicitous and unconstitutional.
On Tuesday, men in Kenya started a week-long boycott of sex with women which also included not talking to them, not texting them, not inboxing them (on Facebook) not WhatsApping them, fasting and praying, to mark International Men’s Liberation Day.
The boycott was called by Maendeleo ya Wanaume chairman Nderitu Njoka.
Njoka said the boycott is a protest against rising gender violence against men, increasing drug and alcohol abuse by women, and the government’s action of setting Sh2 billion aside for sanitary towels and not even half for circumcision.
